RAMCO, the Aberdeen-based oil and gas exploration company which is in the process of selling the Seven Heads gasfield off Cork, has turned in a loss after tax of GBP1.6m for the six months ended June 30, 2005 on turnover which was sharply down to GBP7.3m from GBP25.5m.
Ramco chief executive Steve Remp (pictured) said that both its divisions, gas-generation and offshore services, were profitable at the operating level and the company is on target to be debt-free by the end of 2005. Ramco made a placing of three million shares at 34p each which was successfully completed in June 2005.
