Buses hit by city shake-up.

Changes to city-centre routes have been blamed for a drop in performance by Nottingham City Transport.

The operator said it failed to meet its service reliability target in July.

It got 91.4% of its buses out of the city centre "on time" - no more than a minute early or five minutes late. Its target is at least 95%.

But NCT's service reliability was back up to 97.8% last month, according to figures released today.

The bus operator blamed "horrendous traffic congestion" caused by the the GBP11.7m Turning Point traffic scheme, which bars most general traffic except buses, taxis, disabled drivers and …
