DELAYED AGAIN.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) postponed yesterday the initial run of its much publicized bus dispatching scheme after its guest of honor, President Macapagal-Arroyo, abruptly cancelled her attendance at the launch.
Early yesterday morning, the MMDA recalled invitations for media to cover an inspection of the Navotas Organized Bus Route (OBR) Terminal and the schemes initial run. It had said that Arroyo would grace the 10 a.m. event.
It was about 8:30 p.m. when we learned that the President could not come, said Cora Cruz, MMDA assistant general manager for planning.
Malacanang did not give any reason for the Presidents non-appearance, MMDA public affairs officers said.
