Little Big Star should let kids sing like kids.

LAST SATURDAY, ABS-CBN LAUNCHED A new tilt, Little Big Star, to discover new child singing stars. There are two divisions, for younger and older kids. Last weekend four children competed in each category until one winner was chosen for each division.
We appreciate the opportunity that the new competition is providing the countrys most promising child singers, and ABS-CBN should be complimented for coming up with Little Big Star.
Presentation
However, some aspects of the contest and its presentation on TV need to be looked into and improved on, to make sure that the program is of real, positive service to our young talents.
First, the show intrudes too much into the young contestants lives, coming up with tearjerker stories about some young singers penury and their need to make money for their families.
