NOW HIS JOB DEPENDS ON HIS explanation.

Assistant government corporate counsel Efren Gonzales, who testified at a Senate hearing on the Northrail project, would have to explain in writing why he defied instructions not to attend the hearing.

His boss, government corporate counsel Agnes Devanadera, yesterday asked Gonzales to account for his actions defying her instructions not to attend the Senate hearing.

He will be required to explain why despite my clear instructions he still went to the hearing, Devanadera said in a press conference at her house in Merville Subdivision, Paranaque City.

She said the gravity of Gonzaless sanctions depended on his explanation. It could go from suspension to dismissal from service, she said. We will have to evaluate his explanation, she added.
