GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS who have witnessed supposed irregularities cannot hide such crimes by citing executive privilege when they are asked to testify at congressional inquiries, constitutionalist Fr. Joaquin Bernas said yesterday.
Bernas, a columnist of the Inquirer, also said the Supreme Court would be the final body to determine whether government transactions should be kept under wraps because of the principle of executive privilege.
