India's Bollywood has produced many great actors of international repute, but only a handful of actor-politicians who could walk away like a 'not-out' batsman. Sunil Dutt --Balraj Dutt---to be exact was one such man who shall be remembered by all classes of people, throughout the subcontinent, for ages to come.

Born and brought up in a Zamindar [landlord] family of Jhelum, in what is now Pakistan, Sunil had to migrate to India under adverse circumstances when communal riots broke out all over and flared up in Punjab during the partition of the sub-continent in mid August 1947. Sunil Dutt always acknowledged the debt he owed to one of his family friend, Mr. Yakub, a local Muslim who hailed from the same area in Jhelum district.
