If the trend of hiring temporary employees is a harbinger of permanent job growth, as some economists contend, then the near future looks bright for those seeking full-time employment. According to the 2004 fourth quarter survey conducted by the American Staffing Association, "America's staffing companies employed an average of 2.55 million temporary and contract workers per day in 2004."
