Willis Group Holdings has announced the appointment of Scott Brandi as senior vice-president in the MountainGuard Programme based in Glen Falls, New York. Brandi joins from Associates of Glen Falls, where he was senior vice-president and partner.
In his new capacity at Willis, Brandi is charged with developing and successfully executing a strategy that will increase Willis' MountainGuard market share while assisting producers with organic growth tools. He will also be involved with the ResortGuard Programme and the newly formed RinkGuard Programme, in a similar capacity.
The Board of Heath Lambert Group has appointed Keith Hamill as non- executive chairman. Keith has wide senior-management experience across various industries in the private equity and public sectors. He is currently chairman of Travelodge, Collins Stewart Tullett and Luminar, and was previously chairman of private-equity-backed low-cost airline Go up to its highly successful sale.
His executive roles have included chief financial officer of WH Smith, Trust House Forte and United Distillers. A chartered accountant, he was also a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Cooper Gay & Cashman (Minneapolis) and Cooper Gay Group (London), have announced that James Brost has joined its newly formed Cooper Gay & Cashman unit, based in Minneapolis, as executive vice-president. Previously, Mr. Brost, 52, was vice-chairman of Collins (also based in Minneapolis), a company he co-founded in 1987. Prior to that, his reinsurance career began at EW Blanch Holdings, the Minneapolis-based risk management and global reinsurance broker, where he spent 11 years.
Stefano Nicolini has joined Collins reinsurance intermediaries as a vice- president in its New York office. Mr Nicolini, 40, was most recently a co- founder of the Westfield, NJ-based reinsurance broker Access Re, where, in addition to retrocessional and industry-loss warranty business, he also placed aviation and accident & health reinsurance.
