It all hit home Saturday night in the Suncoast Auditorium at Englewood Community Hospital as the Englewood-Cape Haze Chamber of Commerce partied at its annual banquet.
The musical duo Soul Source was playing background dinner music for the crowd of mostly middle-aged business people. The music was pleasant, and the graying crowd was munching away and enjoying the moment.
That's when Herald-Tribune community reporter and walking rock/pop musical encyclopedia Amy Abern leaned over to me and commented that the duo was playing a Jimi Hendrix tune.
