EAST MANATEE -- County planners are reviewing subdivision proposals that could bring about 90 homes spread over 600 rural acres.

The recently filed developments, known as Park Side Ranch and Olde Myakka Rural Subdivision, call for dozens of homes on five-acre-minimum tracts in Duette and Myakka City.

Park Side Ranch would bring 48 homes to a 300-acre citrus grove south of State Road 62 and east of Duette Road.

Old Myakka Rural Subdivision would bring 38 homes to 325 acres of pasture bisected by the Myakka River, south of the intersection of Wauchula and Ballard roads.
