RFID tracks hurricane's victims

Morgue workers in Mississippi are using embedded radio-frequency ID (RFID) chips to keep track of unidentified remains. The chips are implanted under the corpses' skin or placed inside body bags; workers then record the chip ID number along with any DNA samples, which allows them to retrieve the correct body when a match is made. Although RFID's are used for tagging pets and high-security workers, this is the first case of using it to manage human remains recovery.
