Taipei, May 23, 2005 (CENS)--Although the market for chemical fiber seems bearish for the moment, some of Taiwan's leading nylon fabric manufacturers are still planning to expand their operations, with Li Peng Eng Enterprise Co. aiming to establish the world's largest nylon chip plant. Li Peng, a leading textile maker on the island, is now actively talking with Japanese and S. Korean counterparts for possible cooperation. If the cooperation contracts are signed in the third quarter of this year, Li Peng may further expand its operations to meet the market demand and it plans to invest NT$1 billion (US$29.41 million at US$1 = NT$34) to …
