Media organisations yesterday protested against attempts by some politicians to bar journalists from covering their rallies.

Media owners and a regulator told politicians to respect freedom of the Press and stop intimidating journalists during the ongoing constitutional debate.

The Media Council and the Media Owners Association protested strongly at a move by some politicians to bar journalists from covering their public rallies in Kakamega and Kisumu over the weekend.

The association's chairperson, Ms Rose Kimotho, said her members would work together to protect the freedom …
