Banda Aceh, May 31 (ANTARA) - A strong aftershock measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale on Tuesday jolted Banda Aceh, capital of tsunami-devastated Aceh Province, a spokesman for the Mata Ie Meteorological and Geophysics Office, Syahnan, said.

Syahnan said the earthquake caused panic among residents and workers. They rushed out of their homes and office buildings as the tremor hit at 9:29 a.m. local time.
