Taipei, May 17, 2005 (CENS)--Several leading aftermarket (AM) auto-parts makers in Taiwan reported record revenues in April due to increased sales worldwide, especially in the U.S. market, where bad weathers led to increased car collisions

Major local auto-parts makers are actively zeroing in on the European market. Tong Yang Industrial Co., Ltd., the world's largest maker of AM plastic auto body-parts, recently acquired a plastic body-parts plant in Italy, while its affiliate Taiwan Kai Yih Industrial Co., Ltd., a leading AM sheet-metal body parts maker, has also set up a sheet-metal plant in the same nation.
