DOHA (Qatar), May 12 (Bernama) -- With demand outstripping supply, Tourism Malaysia is adopting a multi-pronged approach to increase tourist numbers from West Asia by nearly 60 percent this year.
"Thousands of people here - both Saudis and non-Saudis - who wanted to go to Malaysia last year went elsewhere instead because all direct flights into Kuala Lumpur were fully booked very early on," said Zalizam Zakaria, the Jeddah-based director of Tourism Malaysia for Western Middle East and Northern Africa.
