Taipei, May 19, 2005 (CENS)--Hon Hai Precision Industrial Co., Ltd., currently Taiwan's largest manufacturing conglomerate by revenue, has decided to buy two of Hewlett-Packard (HP) Co.'s manufacturing facilities, one each in Australia and India, as part of its global deployment strategy. After acquiring the two facilities, Hon Hai will turn them into synergy factories supporting HP. Some industry watchers forecast Hon Hai to unseat the Singapore-headquartered Flextronic as the world's No. 1 electronic-manufacturing service provider this year with its growing global strength.
