A 23-year-old Charnwood man was killed last night after his car collided with a utility in Belconnen, bringing the territory's road toll to 21 this year.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Cooinda and College streets near the University of Canberra about 7.10pm, when the crash occured.

An ACT Policing spokesman said the man, the sole occupant of his vehicle, had been turning right out of Cooinda Street when his car collided with a white utility driven along College Street by a 19-year-old Downer man.

Ambulance staff attempted to revive the Charnwood man at the scene but he was later pronounced dead …
