Sep. 24--Beginning Sunday, senior citizens will start getting information -- with sales pitches soon to follow -- about the new Medicare prescription drug coverage.
Kansans with Medicare will have 15 "stand-alone" plans to choose from, along with additional options, government officials said Friday.
Experts suggest not rushing to make a decision.
Enrollment for the coverage begins Nov. 15; the coverage becomes effective Jan. 1. The new drug benefit is voluntary.
On Sunday, The Eagle's Parade magazine will include an insert from Medicare with some basic information about the new prescription coverage.…
