Sep. 24--Beginning Sunday, senior citizens will start getting information -- with sales pitches soon to follow -- about the new Medicare prescription drug coverage.
Kansans with Medicare will have 15 "stand-alone" plans to choose from, along with additional options, government officials said Friday.
Experts suggest not rushing to make a decision.
Enrollment for the coverage begins Nov. 15; the coverage becomes effective Jan. 1. The new drug benefit is voluntary.
