Mumbai, June 3 - FIAT India Pvt Ltd, which has slid to low sales volumes, plans to make a renewed effort to get its due share in the country's car market.

"We understand the issues Fiat has faced in the Indian market. Our focus is clear and we are here to stay," Dr Paolo Castagna, who took charge as the company's new Managing Director on June 1, told newspersons on Friday.

Dr Castagna admitted that Fiat's dealers in the country were not making enough money, customer service was not good, brand appeal was insufficient and market coverage was spotty.
