For a few days in August, visitors to London Zoo were treated to a new exhibit: Eight human beings, minimally clothed, and caged in a rocky enclosure behind a sign with the legend: "Warning: Humans in Their Natural Environment." The point of the exhibit, according to the zoo's spokeswoman, was to teach zoo-goers that "the human is just another primate," and to let them "have a gawk at people." Numberless questions come to mind. Don't they have reality TV in England? ...
