Embattled residents of Federal Government owned high-rise buildings in Lagos who were offered alternative accommodation at the Odo Nla Affordable Housing Estate located on the outskirts of Ikorodu, weekend flatly rejected the buildings, describing them as unfit for habitation.
The high-rise buildings which were sold to high network private sector individuals and organizations are 1004 Housing Estate and Bar-Beach Towers, all in Victoria Island, Mulliner , Alagbon and Awolowo Road Towers in Ikoyi and Eric Moore Towers in Surulere.
After driving for about two hours from VI through a very narrow and dusty road, the residents in company of journalists inspected facilities at the estate on Friday and they (residents), were unanimous in rejecting the offer.
