BANGALORE: Amidst dissent notes from two members and 'remake' allegations, the Karnataka government announced the state film awards for 2004-05 here on Wednesday. While Murali has bagged the best actor for his performance in Kanti, Shruti pipped national best actress awardee Tara to the post and bagged the state award for her 'sister' role in Gowdru.

Indrajit Lankesh's Mona Lisa is Best Film, followed by P Sheshadri's Beru, with S Mahendar's Gowdru getting third place from the truncated 7-member awards committee headed by producer Kodahalli Shivaram.
