In the country, May is fiesta month with simultaneous celebrations held on all weekends. This Sunday, the Congregacion del Santissimo Nombre del Santissimo del Nino Jesus and the Fashion Designers Association of the Philippines (FDAP) will hold their annual Flores de Mayo in Manila.
The Flores de Mayo is traditionally participated in by young children who leave small floral bouquets at the foot of the image of the Virgin Mary. The culminating event of this Maytime tradition is the Santacruzan.
