The 83rd anniversary of the victory that ended Turkey's War of Independence was celebrated around the nation with enthusiasm on Tuesday.

The celebration began with all top commanders of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), led by Chief of General Staff Gen. Hilmi Ozkok, attending a ceremony at Ataturk's mausoleum in the morning and laying a wreath.

The ceremonies in Ankara continued at the parade ground of the Ataturk Culture Center, where a military procession with tanks and other equipment paid their respects to the dignitaries in the stands. Many civilians also attended the ceremony and displayed their passion by waving …
