In another sign bilateral ties are firmly back on track, Singapore and China yesterday concluded a successful high-level meeting and agreed to work more closely on initiatives new and old.

They concurred on working together to develop the western and north-eastern regions of China.

They also shook hands on cooperating in finance, human resource development and high-tech areas, on natural disasters, and on helping Chinese firms go global.
