More than 100 leading corporations and business groups have joined forces to create Hong Kong's biggest harbor lobby group following frustrations over lack of coordination between government departments.

Vincent Cheng, chairman of HSBC, said the 105-member Harbour Business Forum was formed to influence government policy towards sustainable development of the harbor.

``By working with various groups ... and with the Hong Kong government, we can agree upon, and implement, a common vision for our harbor,'' he said.
