: Perhaps nothing reflects the dramatic change in political equations in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader LK Advani's Gandhinagar constituency better than a road he inaugurated barely a week ago.

At that time activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) had rubbed shoulders with BJP functionaries amid much fanfare on the Gaurav Path road of Ghatlodia municipality on the outskirts of the city.

But on Tuesday, VHP men distributed sweets on the same road - to celebrate Mr Advani's resignation as BJP chief. Local police even had to arrest 20 of them for bursting firecrackers. Perhaps this was …
