Majuro, Marshall Islands, 1 May: Republic of China President Chen Shui-bian arrived Sunday in Majuro, the capital of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, for a two-day visit.

Chen and his entourage were greeted by Marshall Islands' President Kessai Note and his whole cabinet. Notable among the people greeting the president were hundreds of local people and a band of Taiwan aborigines from the Amei tribe that were brought there to join the celebration of the country's national day, 1 May.
