WE ARE BIRD 
 
   We are bird 
   We own what we see. 
   We amble, we waddle on the land 
   then we mould to limpid air, 
   stretching our necks, crying our cry. 
   We are black, we are white, 
   sometimes both, we are 
   mottled, may be blue, everycolour. 
   We are fluff, we are streamlined, 
   we are lined, we have lines, 
   we fly in lines, in V's, 
   so the leader sees all, cries the way. 
   Our skeins are knitted in the sky 
   and promise futurity-- 
   this time next autumn, 
   this time next ...
