Poljus (Russia), gold producer, is one of the candidates for the setting up of gold mining joint ventures in Russia with foreign partners. The gold producer Barrick Gold (BG) (Canada) also counts on the setting up of joint ventures with Russian firms, which are focused on this field and have their own mines in Russia. Gold Fields (GF), which has a 20% stake held by NN, is interested in co-operation with Poljus, division of the mining concern Norilsk Nickel (NN) (Russia).
