Sep. 13--Far East Asset plans to float 250 million shares in an initial public offering as early as December.
The company submitted its filing papers to the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday, according to managing director Chaiphan Pongthanakorn.
"Once we receive [SEC] approval, likely by December, then we will consider again the right timing for an IPO," he said.
"The drop in average daily trading volume on the SET this year has had an impact on securities shares. ... If the market situation is no good, we might shift the [IPO] to early next year."
