While it is undeniable that the enterprise search space has matured during the past couple of years, in maturing, it has also become more sceptical of new technologies offering magic-bullet search solutions.
There's a strong argument to suggest that, having fallen for the sales pitch of emerging vendors, UK purchasers are less likely to "take a chance" on new technology now. As Ian Saunders, managing director of Crystal Semantics (www.crystalsemantics.com), admits: "They tend to follow the routes of the major players.
