Edinburgh means many things to the hard-working TV producer - Easyjet, overpriced hotel rooms, the George Bar, the MacTaggart - but mainly a great chance to grab a few minutes with commissioners that count

The major move since last Edinburgh was the job-swap between the head of one of the biggest channels with the head of one of the biggest indies, as Peter Fincham went from Talkback Thames to BBC1 and Lorraine Heggessey vice versa.

BBC factual faced big changes too with top names forced to reapply for jobs that would see them ordering from both indies and in-house producers as part of the new window of creative competition initiative.
