Beijing Enterprises Holdings, which posted an 11.5 percent rise in first-half earnings, plans to invest in two infrastructure joint ventures in the capital with a combined investment of 2.9 billion yuan (HK$2.78 billion).

The Hong Kong-listed investment arm of the city government said it is in talks to invest in a highway linking the city to Beijing's airport. Total spending on the 17-kilometer Capital Airport Expressway North Link is estimated at 1.4 billion yuan, said Beijing Enterprises vice chairman and chief executive Zhang Honghai.
