Sep. 9--Thai shrimp exporters will meet with US officials in Washington next week to discuss the lingering impact on their industry from last December's tsunami.
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) is seeking more information before deciding whether to reduce or end anti-dumping penalties on Thai shrimp. An ITC team last month visited damaged shrimp farms in southern Thailand.
The ITC said it was reviewing the dumping penalties for humanitarian reasons, with a final decision to be announced by the end of next month.
