Sep. 8--The upward trend in air travel and tourism that began earlier this year in Asia-Pacific countries including Thailand now
looks likely to gather pace and rise to double-digit growth in the last few months of 2005, the industry now believes.
Positive factors for tourism include the likelihood that regional economies will post robust GDP growth of 4-6 percent, more and cheaper airlines are flying, and the recent revaluation of the yuan will give more purchasing power to Chinese travellers.
