KT CORP TO INVEST US$10 BLN IN INFRASTRUCTURE BY 2010
SEOUL - KT Corp. (KSE:030200), South Korea's biggest fixed-line telephone and broadband Internet service provider, said it will invest a total of 10.4 trillion won (US$10.1 billion) by 2010 to upgrade or build telecommunications infrastructure and find new growth engines. As part of the spending plan, KT's chief executive Nam joong-soo said, it purchased a 51-percent stake in Sidus FNH, the nation's No. 1 film studio, for 28 billion won.
