SEOUL, Sept. 6 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Electronics Co., LG Electronics Inc. and other South Korean technology companies have showcased a trial operation of their terrestrial digital TV services via mobile phones at an industry fair in Germany, government officials said Tuesday.

The test run of terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) was carried out with Germany's top two TV networks, ARD and ZDF, showing much attention to the new services that allow users to watch crystal-clear digital TV programming on mobile phone screens using signals from conventional land-based transmitters, the Ministry of Information and Communication said in a …
