Sep. 7--The Amata Group, a major industrial estate developer, says it is ready to develop an electronic city project at its Amata Nakorn estate in Chon Buri in response to a Board of Investment (BoI) initiative. "We are willing to earmark some plots in our land bank or even to buy additional lands nearby if necessary, for the project," president Viboon Kromadit said yesterday.

Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak, who also chairs the BoI, recently floated an idea to set up a centralised electronic industry production centre somewhere in Thailand.
