The government suffers another setback when 131 Thai Muslims fled to Malaysia. Prime Minister Thaksin Chinnawat said that the flight was product of an evil trick, while former 4th Army Region Commander Gen Kitti Ratanachaya regarded it as "provocation" aimed at internationalizing the turmoil in the three southern border provinces. Regardless of what they said, the flight has become an international issue.
