A growing number users turn their computer into a phone and avoid calling fees.

Sep. 3--Computer consultant Mike Lujan stumbled on Skype two years ago after hearing the free software program could let him make calls anywhere in the world without paying long-distance charges.
Now, he uses it almost daily, and so do most of the 100 employees at his San Antonio-based computer consulting company.
"The convenience of it is incredible, and it's free," Lujan said. "To think I can call into India and talk to someone for an hour at no cost."
Lujan is one of a growing number of computer users who use Skype or other programs downloadable from the Internet to turn their computer into a phone and avoid calling fees.
