Sep. 6--Retailers in the Ratchaprasong area of Bangkok are pouring one billion baht into improving shopping facilities and making the overall area more attractive in a bid to attract more tourists and shoppers. Of the total, about 100 million baht will be spent on customer service, public signs and transport, safety and cleanliness.
The initiative is being carried out by the Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association (RSTA), formed last year by three leading retailers in the area: Gaysorn, Amarin Plaza and the Maneeya group.
