PRAGUE, June 1 (CTK) - Czech state-run power producer CEZ said today it had declared an auction to sell power from a so- called virtual power station, as required by the antitrust office UOHS.
In the auction, CEZ will pick business partners with whom it will sign contracts on power supplies for 2006. Next year, it will hold a similar auction to sign contracts for 2007.
The company will offer a capacity of 400 megawatts to business partners for 2006-7 and 240 megawatts in the summer months.
The first round of the auction is scheduled for August 3. Bidders can register in July. The asking price is Kc4.54 million per megawatt and year.
