PRAGUE, June 1 (CTK) - University of European Unification (UES) may start existing in Prague in 2006, Charles University rector Ivan Wilhelm told CTK today.
"It is to focus on social studies, but within the context of European integration," said Wilhelm, who discussed the project in Brussels earlier this week.
The international school with about 300 employees would enrich the Czech academic environment, Wilhelm said, adding that it would be much devoted to academic work.
The UES is to enroll 1200 students from EU members and candidates as well as non-European countries.
Its graduates are to be prepared for the civil service, EU institutions, media, education and research. Moreover, future European diplomats are to graduate from it, Wilhelm said.
The UES is to be the joint project of Charles University and several other prominent universities in Europe.
