The global real estate consulting group Knight Frank has ranked India 5th in the list of 30 emerging retail markets. Investment in the retail real estate segment yields 13-16% return which is quite impressive when compared to the returns from the residential and office segments.

In the home segment, which is driven by the availability of easy home finance, most builders are trying to woo investors with interesting features. In this scenario, it's not surprising that leading builders in the NCR have decided to go full steam ahead with both retail and residential projects.
