Rumors are flying that America West Airlines might relocate its headquarters to Columbus. They are not grounded in reality, although a number of Columbus-area business leaders would like to see the Phoenix-based carrier make its home here.

Several industry analysts contend such a move would be nearly impossible for the airline, which has had poor financial results. The analysts also say that America West's management should even reconsider locating a hub in Columbus.
