KUCHING, Aug 30 (Bernama) -- The Sarawak Regatta 2005 to be held at the Kuching Waterfront here this weekend will see foreign teams vying with local competitors for honours and prestige.

Kuching Division Resident and organising chairman Abang Affandi Abang Anuar said today that apart from the over 250 entries from throughout Sarawak, two teams from Singapore and one each from Dubai and Brunei had registered for the two-day regatta, which starts on Saturday.

"It will feature 27 boat and 11 kayak races and the must-watch events are the final of the Tambang races for both powered and non-powered boats …
