(From Northampton Chronicle and Echo)
A 93-year-old woman has been left terrified by gangs of youths who have waged a campaign of vandalism against her Northampton home.
Ivy Fitzhugh of Fulford Drive, Northampton has been forced to contend with 3in stones hurled at the front window of her house in a year-long series of attacks.
The glass of one front window has had to be replaced five times, causing her insurance premiums to double.
The latest attack took place on Easter Sunday when the reinforced glass was dented in 15 places and a plant given by Mrs Fitzhugh's daughter as an Easter present was stolen.
Mrs Fitzhugh, who has lived alone since her husband died eight years ago, said: "It has been terrifying and I have felt like crying. I keep wondering what they will do next.
"Once one of the panes of glass shattered right next to me. After that I didn't sleep for three weeks.
